Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Corporate Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will drive quality initiatives across our manufacturing facilities, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of excellence. Your expertise will support continuous improvement efforts, optimize manufacturing processes, and uphold our commitment to delivering superior quality to our customers.
Position Responsibilities:
The Corporate Quality Manager is responsible for performing the following functions:
· Interpret and implement Quality Assurance standards.
Evaluate adequacy of Quality Assurance standards.
· Review the implementation and efficiency of the quality inspection systems.
· Review internal audit schedules, results, and other Quality Assurance activities.
· Oversee activities related to Quality Assurance requirements for APQP, NPI, etc.
· Identify training needs and organize these activities for the Quality Assurance staff.
· Develop, recommend and monitor Corrective and Preventative Action activities.
· Ensure ongoing compliance with quality and industry requirements.
· Provide regular coaching and direction to ensure optimal performance and morale.
· Ensure that proper succession is in place.
· Coordinate all functions, ensuring that employees work as a team, communicating effectively so that goals and objectives are realized.
· Be cognizant of employee morale and make sure that an atmosphere of positive employee relations exists throughout the company.
· Think continuously of ways in which return to the company can be maximized, without sacrificing quality and customer relations.
· Other duties as assigned or needed.
Essential Skills and Experience:
· Engineering Degree or associated discipline.
· At least 10 years’ experience in Quality Management with logical career progression.
· In-depth understanding of quality systems and supporting activities.
· Strong leadership skills, able to motivate and inspire staff … a skillful coach, able to build a team and execute through others.
· A “hands-on” management style with an ability to operate effectively in a flat and entrepreneurial environment.
· Well-organized and focused -- able to prioritize objectives. A proactive style with a strong sense of urgency.
· Excellent communication skills, oral and written … good listening skills.
· Solid personal characteristics of integrity, confidence, balance, and good interpersonal skills
Preferred Skills and Experience:
· Extensive knowledge of injection molding, secondary operations, and supporting activities.
· A keen intellect: smart, analytical, and conceptual.
· Resourceful and able to initiate new ideas: not simply an emulator.
Pay: $110,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
