Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal

Jones Networking is recruiting for a Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal to join a growing Plaintiff Personal Injury Law Firm in Wilmington, NC. Our client offers a competitive salary, medical benefits, life and disability insurance, 401k match, PTO and more.
Responsibilities of the Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal:
- Manage a high-volume personal injury litigation caseload from suit filing through resolution in partnership with the assigned attorney.
- Draft and prepare pleadings, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, notices, correspondence, and other litigation-related documents.
- Coordinate and manage all aspects of discovery, including medical records collection, document production, and organization of case materials.
- Maintain litigation calendars and track deadlines related to pleadings, discovery, hearings, mediations, depositions, and trial preparation.
- Schedule and coordinate depositions, mediations, expert consultations, court appearances, and witness interviews.
- Communicate regularly with clients regarding case status, treatment updates, discovery responses, and litigation expectations.
- Review and summarize medical records, billing records, deposition transcripts, and other case-related documents.
- Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including exhibit preparation, witness coordination, trial notebooks, and courtroom logistics.
- Collaborate closely with attorneys, case managers, experts, and medical providers to maintain case momentum and maximize client outcomes.
- Prepare settlement documentation, lien information, and closing packages following case resolution.
Requirements of the Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal:
- At least 2-5 years of plaintiff personal injury litigation experience with demonstrated experience supporting attorneys through all phases of litigation.
- Strong knowledge of North Carolina civil procedure, litigation deadlines, and court filing requirements.
- Experience drafting pleadings, discovery materials, subpoenas, and trial preparation documents.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients, opposing counsel, experts, medical providers, and court personnel.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing a high-volume caseload while meeting critical deadlines.
- Client-focused professional with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to provide compassionate support throughout the litigation process.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience using Filevine or similar case management software preferred.
- North Carolina Notary Public commission preferred but not required.
