The Vice President of Finance / Chief Financial Officer provides executive oversight for the Finance, Supply Chain, and Patient Access Departments, ensuring these critical functions operate efficiently while supporting the organization's strategic, operational, and financial goals. The position will also play a critical role in structuring the capital needed to support planned strategic growth and expansion over the next three to five years.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership and oversight of the Finance, Supply Chain, and Patient Access Departments, fostering operational excellence, collaboration, and accountability.
• Provide executive oversight of all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, treasury, payroll, financial reporting, reimbursement, and internal controls.
• Develop and execute long-range financial strategies, capital planning, forecasting, debt management, and cash flow initiatives that support organizational growth and sustainability.
• Work collaboratively with a centralized billing office while providing strategic oversight of revenue cycle performance, reimbursement optimization, financial analysis, and payer contract negotiations.
• Partner with the CEO, executive leadership team, Board of Directors, UR Medicine leadership, and affiliate organizations to support strategic initiatives and informed decision-making.
• Develop financial policies, monitor organizational performance, identify opportunities for operational improvement, and promote responsible stewardship of organizational resources.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable financial reporting requirements, regulatory standards, and audit expectations.

Qualifications

Required

• Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA), Healthcare Administration (MHA), Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Minimum of five years of progressively responsible senior financial leadership experience within a hospital or health system.

Preferred

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
• Experience within an integrated health system or academic medical center.
• Experience with Rural Health Clinics and the 340B Drug Pricing Program.
• Experience leading operational departments beyond finance.
