Driver Recruiter

As a Driver Recruiter Coordinator at Jones Logistics, you will play a critical role in supporting the growth and success of our transportation operations. We are seeking an energetic, results-driven professional who enjoys building relationships, communicating with people, and helping attract top driving talent to our organization.

The Driver Recruiter is responsible for recruiting qualified company drivers while maintaining a strong and consistent candidate pipeline to support hiring needs across the business. This role partners closely with Operations, Safety, and Human Resources throughout the recruiting, qualification, and onboarding process to ensure a positive and efficient driver experience from first contact through orientation.

Key Responsibilities

Driver Recruiting & Candidate Management

· Recruit and attract qualified company drivers through inbound and outbound recruiting efforts

· Pre-screen driver applications and assess candidate qualifications

· Make and receive recruiting calls with prospective driver candidates

· Maintain consistent communication with applicants regarding application status, next steps, and hiring timelines

· Build and maintain a strong driver candidate pipeline to support ongoing hiring needs

· Prepare and review offer letters prior to HR distribution to ensure accuracy and completeness

Compliance & Onboarding

· Conduct and coordinate background checks, PSP reviews, MVR reviews, and drug screens

· Assist with gathering and maintaining required Driver Qualification (DQ) file documentation

· Ensure hiring and onboarding activities comply with DOT regulations, company policies, and driver qualification standards

· Schedule qualified applicants for New Hire Orientation

· Coordinate or assist with travel and lodging arrangements for drivers attending orientation

Systems, Reporting & Cross-Functional Support

· Utilize Tenstreet and other recruiting tools to effectively manage applicant flow and recruiting activity

· Maintain accurate recruiting documentation, candidate records, and application status updates within company systems

· Run and distribute recruiting activity and hiring reports as needed

· Provide weekly feedback regarding lead volume, recruiting activity, applicant quality, and hiring trends

· Partner closely with Operations, Safety, and Human Resources to support hiring and onboarding goals

· Perform additional duties and projects as assigned

Qualifications

· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities

· Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

· Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and deadlines

· Solid computer, administrative, and data entry skills

· Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office products

· Previous driver recruiting or transportation industry experience preferred

· Knowledge of DOT regulations and Driver Qualification (DQ) file requirements preferred

· College degree preferred
