The Permit Coordinator supports environmental permitting for aquatic management, restoration, and dredging-related projects across New England. Responsibilities include identifying permits, preparing applications, coordinating with regulatory agencies, tracking timelines, and supporting environmental review.
Essential Duties
- Identify required permits for each project across municipal, state, and federal agencies.
- Prepare, assemble, and submit permit applications including supporting technical documents.
- Serve as primary point of contact with regulators throughout reviews.
- Develop permitting timelines and track multiple applications.
- Assist with wetland delineations, habitat assessments, and other field tasks when needed.
- Prepare materials for public hearings and attend meetings when required.
- Maintain centralized permitting database and track renewals.
- Support compliance monitoring and prepare closeout documentation.
- Coordinate and complete technical maps utilizing ArcGIS
- Construct and submit work plans associated with large stakeholder compliance
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Natural Resources, Biology, or similar—OR equivalent experience.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Familiarity with environmental permitting in New England preferred.
- Ability to read engineering plans and understand construction sequencing.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Occasional fieldwork may be required, including site walks and environmental assessments.
- Evening public meetings may occur periodically.
- Training provided for permitting platforms and state-specific procedures.
- Ability to walk uneven terrain including wetlands and shoreline environments.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Comfort working outdoors in various weather conditions during field review tasks.

Salary : $60,000 - $80,000
