WORKERS' COMPENSATION - PARALEGAL/LEGAL ASSISTANT
Qualifications:
- *Thorough understanding of Florida civil litigation/workers' compensation process
- *Experience with Microsoft Office, case management software, and e-filing portal
- *Knowledge and understanding of legal defense billing processes
- *Ability to provide error-free documents utilizing correct grammar, spelling, and formatting
- *Strong interpersonal aptitude with helpful, no-job-too-small mindset
Responsibilities:
- *Schedule conferences, depositions, mediations, and hearings
- *Maintain attorney calendar
- *Manage file diary system, specific case records, and tickler dates
- *Keep up-to-date task list with capacity to prioritize work and organize time
- *Draft legal correspondence, pleadings, motions, expert disclosures, and witness & exhibit lists
- *Administrative support and scheduling
- *Mediation, deposition, and trial preparation with attorney including exhibit prep and production
