What You'll Do
- Manage complex engineering projects in accordance with established project management and quality programs.
- Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and fee estimates; negotiate contracts and amendments.
- Serve as primary client liaison and trusted technical advisor.
- Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, including internal staff and subconsultants.
- Track project performance, utilization, schedule adherence, and profitability.
- Conduct project performance reviews and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Prepare and review engineering analyses, reports, plans, and technical deliverables.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, permitting, and client requirements.
- Provide mentorship and career development guidance to engineers and project managers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
- Support seller-doer activities including proposal preparation and client interviews.
- Identify and track new business opportunities.
- Represent the firm positively at client meetings, industry events, and conferences.
- Ensure quality assurance and quality control practices are implemented on all assigned projects.
- Hold project teams accountable to firm quality standards.
- Provide senior-level technical review and problem-solving support.
- Manage QA/QC documentation and coordination with reviewers and subconsultants.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Architecture, Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in engineering or environmental consulting.
- Demonstrated experience managing large or complex municipal projects.
- Strong client-facing, communication, and leadership skills.
- Experience preparing scopes, schedules, budgets, and proposals.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Florida Professional Engineer (PE), Geologist, or Architect license.
- Extensive experience working with municipal or public-sector clients.
