Dental Assistant – Full Time (Monday–Thursday)

Schedule: Monday–Thursday (full time)
Location: Falmouth, MA
Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Maintain strict infection control standards through aseptic techniques and proper sterilization procedures to uphold clinic safety standards.
- Prepare treatment rooms by organizing and setting up equipment for procedures.
- Manage patient records by updating medical documentation, medical records, and dental coding within electronic health record (EHR) systems like Dentrix or Eaglesoft.
- Taking digital radiographs.
- Assist in gathering additional clinical records such as impressions, intraoral 3D scans and digital photography.
- Assist in documenting clinical notes.
- Monitor vital signs and assess patient comfort levels before, during, and after procedures to ensure safety and well-being.
- Support the administrative staff by scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and managing patient flow efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient information and handling medical records with confidentiality at all times.

Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar dental clinic setting with knowledge of general dentistry practices.
- Familiarity with EMR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic for managing medical documentation and records.
- Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques.
- Confident communication skills to interact effectively with patients, team members, and other healthcare professionals.
- Certification in radiography, infection control and basic life support (BLS).
- Organized, dependable, and team-oriented.
