JOB SUMMARY:

 

The position will provide end-user support services, and technical support for installing, and configuring computer hardware and software programs. This involves working closely with end-users, as well as external support vendors. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

An essential job duty of this position is regularly reporting to work on time and being able to perform the essential duties of the position.

  • Maintain all assigned systems in an accurate and efficient manner.

  • Provide end-user training and support to resolve application and hardware problems promptly and cordially.

  • Tracks IT inventory assets with accuracy.

  • Resolve issues quickly when troubleshooting or notifies the appropriate parties to reach a solution.

  • Support computer change control management to ensure consistency with company policies.

  • Assist in procurement and tracking of IT inventory assets. This includes but is not limited to hardware evaluation and purchase, employee training, and systems troubleshooting.

  • Make recommendations regarding technology standards and improvements to policies, procedures, techniques, facilities, and other matters relative to enhancing the effectiveness of the department.

  • Accept special projects willingly and complete them promptly.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Working towards a 2-year degree in computer science or a related field.

Experience or Training: None.

Technology/Equipment: Strong mechanical/technical ability. Exposure to Office 365 applications, Active Directory management and basic network competencies.

An individual must meet the mental and physical requirements described here to successfully perform this position's essential functions.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

Most of the work for this position is performed in an office environment, however, there may be exposure to production areas requiring the use of PPE, uniform or protective clothing, and safety equipment.
