What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shop and Construction Yard Helper position at Jones Contracting, Inc?
Jones Contracting, Inc, is hiring a Shop and Construction Yard Helper for our office.
Our company is not looking for an employee to just fill the position but for an individual that wants to grow with us and become a long-term team member.
Responsibilities:
- Property maintenance and repairs to include mowing and bushhogging.
- Making Deliveries, loading/unloading and transporting parts, vehicles or machines.
- Cleaning, inspecting, and assisting with repairs on tools, vehicles or machines.
- Operate machinery like forklifts, aerial lifts if needed.
- Assisting office and field superintendents when help is requested.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Good problem-solving abilities.
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and punctuality
- Physical strength and stamina to handle heavy machinery and work in all weather conditions.
- Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively with co-workers and managers.
- Valid Driver’s License, CDL is a plus
