Jones Contracting, Inc, is hiring a Maintenance - Grounds Keeper for our office.
Our company is not looking for an employee to just fill the position but for an individual that wants to grow with us and become a long-term team member.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain lawns, landscaping, and outdoor grounds
- Trim, prune, weed, mulch, and remove unhealthy vegetation
- Keep outdoor furniture, walkways, and common areas clean and in good condition
- Apply fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides according to safety guidelines
- Remove trash, fallen branches, and other debris from property grounds
- Keep shop clean and organized
- Clean and wash construction equipment and company trucks
- Keep trash removed from office and shops
Requirements:
- Previous landscaping or groundskeeping experience preferred
- Valid driver's license preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to safely operate equipment and perform physical work in various weather conditions
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently
- Good problem-solving and attention-to-detail skills
- Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks accurately
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well with a team
- Excellent customer service skills
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Physical strength and stamina for outdoor labor
