Interior Design Project Manager Requirements:
Education:
- Four-year degree in the Interior Design or Interior Architecture profession from an accredited university. (Bachelors)
- NCIDQ certification preferred (or in progress)
Experience:
- 2-5 Years experience as an Interior Designer
- Proven portfolio of work in office, medical office, small retail, and light industrial environments
- Experience managing design projects from concept through completion
- Familiarity with permitting processes and construction documentation
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in AutoCAD and ability to create design concepts and continue the development through all design phases.
- Strong understanding of space planning, FF&E specifications, and finish selections
- Knowledge of building codes, ADA compliance, city codes, and industry standards
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings
Project Management & Communication:
- Demonstrate ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, and budgets
- Strong client-facing communication skills with a professional, solutions-oriented approach and dress
- Experience coordinating with clients, consultants, contractors, and vendors
- Ability to lead internal design teams and mentor junior staff
