- Full-time classroom teaching on campus and off-campus clinical instruction.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Master’s degree in nursing from a regionally accredited institution
Minimum one year of clinical nursing experience
Active and unencumbered registered nursing license to practice in the state of Mississippi
Can competently teach in an online format utilizing a learning management system and video-capturing software
Clear criminal history background check
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Medical-surgical clinical experience
Three years of teaching experience
Functional emphasis on the role of nurse educator
- Conduct and oversee lectures, labs, and clinical sessions in accordance with the nursing curriculum
- Mentor and supervise students in diverse clinical settings, ensuring practical skills and professional behaviors in accordance with the Jones College mission and in line with current nursing practice guidelines
- Engage in academic and career advising for students in the Health Sciences pathway
- Collaborate on curriculum development, evaluation, and revision in coordination with other faculty to integrate the latest evidence-based practice and standards
- Maintain professional competence through ongoing education and professional activities, including 10 contact hours of continuing education each academic year
- Participate in departmental and campus committees
