Position Summary:
The Administrative Assistant to the Dean is responsible for administrative support to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the School of Health Sciences. The ideal candidate is an organized professional who can handle multiple priorities, communicate effectively, and serve as a consistent point of contact for faculty, students, and community partners. Familiarity with basic health sciences terminology and educational settings is strongly preferred.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage scheduling, appointments, and communications for the Dean’s Office
- Answer phones, greet visitors, and respond to inquiries in a professional manner
- Prepare correspondence, documents, reports, and spreadsheets as needed
- Maintain organized filing systems (digital and paper)
- Coordinate logistics for meetings, events, interviews, and retreats
- Track purchases, assist with basic budgeting, and manage office supply inventory
- Support data entry, reporting, and faculty credentialing needs
- Liaise with campus departments, recruiters, and marketing staff as needed
- Assist with onboarding and records management for new faculty hires
- Lead recruiting tours and facilitate recruitment and outreach events
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required; Associate’s degree required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in administrative or clerical support roles
- Familiarity with healthcare or educational environments preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and office technologies
- Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
