PART-TIME POSITION FOR AUCTION SET UP
FLEXIBLE HOURS AND DAYS
AUCTION OPERATIONS ASSISTANT DESCRIPTION:
Major Objective:
To assist with all online and/or live personal property auctions.
Maintain accurate and high-quality listings to maximize auction participation and revenue.
Provide exceptional customer service to both buyers and sellers.
Requirements:
Ability to speak, read, and write English.
Proficiency in basic computer and internet technologies and/or willing to learn new software applications.
Communication and interpersonal skills; both verbal and written.
Attention to detail and organizational skills.
Self-Motivated and work independently in timely manner.
Maintain neat and professional appearance.
Major Responsibilities:
Auction Preparation:
1. Clean, set up, and lot items according to established guidelines.
2. Capture high-quality photographs and size measurements using online auction software.
3. Craft accurate and compelling descriptions for each item.
4. Final disposition of auction items; including pick up, shipping, and customer contacts.
Technical Operations:
1. Monitor bidding activity and address any technical issues that arise.
2. Maintain and update online listings as needed.
Customer Service:
1. Respond to inquiries from potential sellers and bidders via email or phone.
2. Resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally.
3. Build positive relationships with clients.
4. Ability to handle challenges calmly.
Additional Duties:
1. Maintain a neat and organized workspace.
2. Help with monthly mailings and marketing efforts to current and potential customers.
3. Be a team player and contribute to a positive working environment.
4. Maintain confidential records.
5. Perform other job functions as needed.
