The Laundry Attendant Is Responsible For The Following
- Sorting linens, towels, clothing and other laundry items by color, size and material
- Wrapping laundry items for pickup or delivery to customers and hospitality guests
- Washing items with commercial laundry equipment following proper sanitization protocols
- Cleaning and maintaining laundry room area and equipment
- Unloading laundry from commercial dryers
- Stocking laundry supplies such as detergent, bleach, laundry bags and fabric softener
- Creating laundry tags with identifiable customer information
- Sending and receiving laundry from outside laundry company and accounting for all items
- Receiving and sending back linens for banquets, restaurant or special events
- Conduct linen inventory and keep track of damage linens
- Prior experience as a Laundry Attendant or equivalent role
- Understanding of cleaning detergents and laundering equipment
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Ability to lift 40 lbs.
- Outstanding organizational, multitasking and time management skills
- Available to work assigned shifts as needed including weekends and/or holidays
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
- Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with members and guests.
- Ability to work in a fast paced and demanding environment
- Reading and writing abilities are utilized often.
- Basic math skills are used frequently.
