We are growing and looking to hire a Product Development Associate to join our team. The Product Development Associate reports to the Product Development Manager and supports product development activities from early concept through launch.
This role is responsible for maintaining product information, coordinating development inputs, and ensuring product requirements, evaluations, and reference materials are accurate and up to date. The associate works closely with cross-functional teams to help keep development efforts organized, informed, and moving forward.
Key Responsibilities
Product Development Execution
- Manage product information for active development initiatives, including specifications, use cases, and application details
- Review and organize new product concepts, samples, and technical proposals
- Track development inputs such as samples, testing feedback, and internal review notes
- Prepare materials for product review discussions and capture outcomes and follow-up items
- Maintain visibility into development status, open questions, and next steps for assigned projects
- Support product updates, refinements, and line extensions as part of ongoing portfolio work
Market & End-User Context
- Gather and organize market, customer, and end-user insights relevant to product development
- Document workflows, applications, and requirements that inform product decisions
- Maintain reference materials that connect market needs to product features
Competitive & Industry Awareness
- Maintain awareness of products and solutions within relevant categories
- Track competing products, feature sets, and positioning for reference and context
- Compile industry standards, trends, and requirements that may impact product development
Partnership & OEM Support
- Research OEM, private label, and partnership opportunities aligned with product strategy
- Collect and organize product-level information from external partners
- Support onboarding and launch activities through documentation and coordination
Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain product development trackers, shared files, and reference documentation
- Document meeting notes, decisions, and action items related to development work
- Support preparation of internal summaries, presentations, and review materials
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in product development, product operations, market research, or a related role
- Strong organizational and documentation skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work with technical product information and translate it into clear documentation
- Proficiency in Excel and document management tools
- Strong written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with Engineering, Sourcing, Marketing, and Sales
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with end-to-end new product development and introduction
- Exposure to OEM, private label, or licensed product programs
- Experience working with external vendors or suppliers
- Familiarity with project tracking or documentation systems (e.g., Monday.com)
