Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing attentive and friendly guest service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and maximize sales opportunities
- Manage table settings, bussing, and sanitation to keep the dining area clean and organized
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties, while maintaining POS records
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure proper food preparation, food safety, and sanitation standards are met
- Assist with reservations using platforms like OpenTable and coordinate guest relations for a seamless experience
- Support guest needs proactively by providing menu recommendations, answering questions about ingredients or dietary restrictions, and ensuring overall satisfaction
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, wine pairings, and current promotions to enhance upselling efforts
Requirements
- Prior restaurant experience or food service background preferred; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; familiarity with OpenTable is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Knowledge of food handling safety, sanitation practices, and basic math for cash handling
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with food preparation or kitchen operations is beneficial but not required
- Demonstrated ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining guest satisfaction
