Role Description The Electrical Superintendent is a full-time, on-site role based in Midland, TX. This position oversees daily electrical construction activities, including coordination of crews, scheduling tasks, and monitoring progress to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. The role includes reviewing plans and specifications, directing installation of electrical systems, and ensuring compliance with codes, standards, and company procedures. The Electrical Superintendent will troubleshoot field issues, manage materials and equipment, and work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to resolve conflicts and maintain clear communication. This role also involves mentoring team members, enforcing safety protocols, and maintaining accurate documentation of work performed.
Qualifications
- Strong supervisory skills, including leading field crews, coordinating subcontractors, and managing daily site operations.
- Solid knowledge of electricity and electrical contracting practices, including installation of commercial and high-voltage systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues and apply practical electrical engineering concepts to resolve complex field problems.
- Experience reading and interpreting electrical plans, specifications, and one-line diagrams; familiarity with relevant codes and standards (e.g., NEC).
- Proven commitment to safety, including implementing and enforcing safety procedures and participating in safety meetings.
- Effective communication and organizational skills, with the ability to document work, prepare reports, and coordinate with project stakeholders.
- Previous experience as an Electrical Superintendent, Foreperson, or similar field leadership role in commercial or industrial electrical construction.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training, journeyman or master electrician license in Texas preferred.
- Ability to work on-site in varying weather conditions, travel to project locations as needed within the region, and lift or move equipment as required.
