Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Electrical BIM Modeler based in Houston, TX. The Electrical BIM Modeler will be responsible for creating and managing Building Information Modeling (BIM) for electrical systems, producing accurate construction drawings, and collaborating closely with design and project management teams. Daily responsibilities include interpreting architectural plans, coordinating Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) workflows, and ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Building Information Modeling (BIM) and expertise in the role of a BIM Modeler
- Strong understanding of Architecture, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) design principles
- Experience in reading and preparing Construction Drawings
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-disciplinary teams
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training in a related field is preferred
- Knowledge of electrical systems in commercial construction is a plus
