Jomar Electrical Contractors is seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent to lead commercial and industrial electrical construction projects in the Midland, TX area. The ideal candidate will have strong field leadership experience, excellent knowledge of electrical construction practices, and the ability to manage crews, coordinate project activities, and maintain high standards for safety, quality, and productivity.
This position is responsible for overseeing daily field operations, supporting project schedules, mentoring field personnel, and ensuring successful project completion from start to finish.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise electrical crews, foremen, and subcontractors on commercial and industrial projects.
- Manage daily field operations while maintaining company safety, quality, and productivity standards.
- Coordinate manpower, schedules, materials, equipment, and jobsite activities to meet project deadlines.
- Review electrical drawings, blueprints, specifications, and submittals to ensure proper installation.
- Communicate project progress, scheduling concerns, field conditions, and potential issues with Project Managers.
- Perform quality control inspections and assist with punch-list completion.
- Train, mentor, and develop foremen and electrical field personnel.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, daily reports, timekeeping, and field records using company technology.
- Assist with project closeout, as-built documentation, and final turnover.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA requirements and company safety procedures.
Qualifications
- Valid Texas or Oklahoma Journeyman or Master Electrician License required.
- 5 years of commercial and/or industrial electrical construction experience preferred.
- Proven experience managing electrical crews and large-scale projects.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and construction documents.
- Strong understanding of electrical installation methods, NEC requirements, and jobsite safety.
- Knowledge of electrical estimating processes or willingness to learn.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
- Experience with Accubid estimating software is a plus.
- Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to travel to project locations as required.
Preferred Certifications & Experience
- OSHA 30 certification preferred.
- Experience supervising multiple crews and complex electrical projects.
- Strong customer service and client relationship skills.
