Responsibilities

• Assist in managing daily cafe operations, including opening and closing procedures
• Supervise and motivate staff to deliver outstanding customer service in a fast-paced, festive setting
• Oversee food preparation and ensure adherence to food safety standards and hygiene regulations
• Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS, including cash handling and reconciliation
• Manage inventory control, monitor stock levels, and coordinate food production to minimize waste
• Train new team members on food handling, customer service, and operational procedures
• Support shift management by coordinating staff schedules and ensuring smooth workflow during busy periods
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and hospitality throughout the cafe environment
• Conduct staff performance evaluations and facilitate ongoing training & development initiatives
• Analyze profit and loss reports to optimize sales strategies and control costs

Experience

• Proven experience in quick service & fast food restaurant environments or casual dining settings
• Demonstrated supervisory or assistant manager experience within the food industry or hospitality management
• Strong background in food preparation, cafe, and food safety management practices
• Familiarity with POS systems such as square
• Excellent team management skills with the ability to lead, train, and develop staff effectively
• Knowledge of catering, banquet operations or is a plus
• Strong communication skills for managerial tasks like interviewing, training, and staff supervision
• Ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude
