We are looking for a Physical Therapist to join our team and provide quality care to our geriatric and orthopedic patients. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing physical therapy services under the direction of a licensed physical therapist, including patient assessment, treatment planning, implementation of treatment plans, and patient education. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be organized and detail-oriented, have a passion for helping others and have a passion for making a difference in the lives of our patients. McKenzie knowledge and manual skills are preferred but not required and we will train. New grads strongly encouraged.
Duties:
- Evaluate patients' physical abilities and develop treatment plans to help them improve functional mobility, control complaints, and prevent further injury
- Use various techniques such as exercise, manual techniques, and stretching to help patients improve their physical abilities
- Teach patients exercises, stretches and body mechanics techniques they can do at home to continue their progress
- Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Work with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
Qualifications:
- Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- State license to practice as a Physical Therapist
- Strong communication skills to effectively communicate with patients and other healthcare professionals
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
