Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated Apprentice Electrician with 4 to 8 years of hands-on experience to join our dynamic team. Duties
- Assist in installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems in industrial and commercial environments, following blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized electrical equipment such as ohmmeters to troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues effectively.
- Read and interpret construction blueprints and schematics to support accurate installation and repairs.
- Support the setup of low voltage and high voltage electrical systems in accordance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
- Conduct routine inspections on electrical wiring, panels, conduits, and related components to ensure safety and compliance.
- Collaborate with construction teams including frame carpenters to coordinate installation activities on construction sites.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and safety inspections conducted during each project phase.
- Follow all safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents or injuries while working on construction sites or with live electrical systems.
Experience
- 4 to 8 years of experience working as an electrician in industrial or commercial settings.
- Proven ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately.
- Hands-on experience with low voltage systems, high voltage wiring, and NEC standards is essential.
- Skilled in using hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers, along with power tools like drills and saws.
- Experience working on construction sites with a focus on safety procedures and teamwork.
- Familiarity with electrical troubleshooting using tools like ohmmeters and multimeters.
- Knowledge of frame carpentry is a plus for supporting structural aspects of electrical installations.
