Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing analysis of resource requirements to support a Counterdrug/Counter Transnational Organized Crime (CD/CTCO) mission; planning or assisting with the planning operations, event activities, policies, and procedures to support a Counterdrug/Counter Transnational Organized Crime (CD/CTCO) mission; and partnering with senior officials, ambassadors, Participating Nation militaries, law enforcement, and/or other liaisons in support of a Counterdrug/Counter Transnational Organized Crime (CD/CTCO) mission. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS/GG-12.
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.

- Serve as a Joint Planner for DOD, Interagency, Allied, Participating Nations, and Country Team Counterdrug/Counter Transnational Organized Crime plans and policy.
- Conduct joint and interagency planning to prepare concepts of operations, operations plans, campaign plans, and operation orders.
- Prepare the design and staffing of myriad land, air, and maritime Counterdrug/ Counter Transnational Organized Crime plans.
- Initiate and coordinate planning requirements for new technologies and agreements to include developing performance criteria and employment techniques.
- Provide expert analysis and formulation of mid and long-range Counterdrug/Counter Transnational Organized Crime resource requirements.
- Initiate and coordinate planning requirements for new technologies and agreements with U. S. and foreign agencies.
Conditions of employment
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- Must perform Temporary Duty (TDY) travel up to 50% or less of the time.
- This position is designated Tier 5, Special Sensitive, High Risk and the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance Level with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access as a condition of employment.
- Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
