Engineering Project Technician / Designer
T. Baker Smith is seeking talented Project Technicians and Designers with civil design experience to support our growing team in our Prairieville location!
Your Opportunity:
- To gain experience working with professional engineers and technicians.
- Prepare client deliverables.
- Calculating, analyzing, organizing, coordinating, and researching information, preparing drawings, and aiding in tasks necessary to complete the project.
- Ability to team up with our engineers to prepare and discuss drawings and project specifications and details for a variety of civil engineering infrastructure projects.
- Providing technical support for project teams.
- To help in any area necessary to get the work completed according to the project schedule.
- Assist other project teams or departments with technical, field, or other duties as needed or requested.
Desired Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate degree in Drafting and Design.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in civil engineering design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil3D, MicroStation, InRoads, or OpenRoads.
- Self-motivation and the ability to demonstrate exceptional attention to detail is a must.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly dynamic environment.
