Hoist Operator

Key Responsibilities:

· Operate overhead cranes, hoists, and related equipment to lift and move materials within the facility.

· Position and secure loads using chains, slings, and other rigging equipment.

· Communicate with ground personnel using hand signals, radios, or other approved methods.

· Conduct pre-operation and post-operation inspections of cranes and rigging equipment.

· Report any mechanical issues, unsafe conditions, or equipment defects immediately.

· Follow standard operating procedures and comply with OSHA safety regulations.

· Assist with loading and unloading trucks or production lines when required.

· Maintain a clean and organized work area.

· Work closely with supervisors, production staff, and logistics teams to ensure workflow efficiency.

· Participate in ongoing safety and equipment training as required.

Job Qualifications:

· High school diploma or GED.

· Proven experience operating overhead cranes in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

· Knowledge of crane operations, load charts, and rigging principles.

· Ability to read and interpret work orders, load specifications, and safety instructions.

· Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

· Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.

· Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime or weekends as needed.

· Must pass a practical evaluation and safety training prior to operating equipment.
