This is a new position within the Development Team!
THE POSITION
The Community Engagement Manager creates meaningful opportunities for individuals,
organizations, and the community to engage with EverHope. This role leads the
planning and execution of fundraising events, third party fundraising initiatives, donor
engagement experiences, community partnerships, and the organization's in-kind giving
program.
Working alongside the Development team, this position helps expand EverHope's
visibility, strengthen community relationships, and create pathways for future
philanthropic support. The Community Engagement Manager serves as the operational
lead for engagement initiatives, ensuring exceptional experiences while supporting the
organization's fundraising and development goals.
Key Responsibilities (may include, but are not limited to)
Fundraising Event Management & Execution
- Serve as the project manager for EverHope fundraising events, leading planning, logistics, and execution.
- Partner with the Gift Officer to support fundraising strategy and achieve event revenue goals.
- Develop and manage event timelines, budgets, vendors, registrations, auctions, and event logistics.
- Collaborate with Marketing & Communications to execute event promotions and participant communications.
- Coordinate volunteers, committees, vendors, and staff to ensure successful event execution.
- Evaluate event outcomes and recommend improvements to enhance guest experience and operational effectiveness.
Third Party Fundraising
Serve as the primary contact for individuals, businesses, and organizations
hosting third party fundraising events.
- Provide planning support, resources, and guidance to ensure successful events.
- Coordinate marketing needs with the Marketing & Communications team.
- Represent EverHope and coordinate staff or volunteer support as needed.
- Steward partners after their event and identify opportunities for continued engagement.
Community Partnerships
- Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, businesses, schools, and civic groups to expand awareness of EverHope.
- Identify and cultivate new community partnerships that create opportunities for engagement and future support.
- Represent EverHope at community events, networking opportunities, and outreach activities.
- Collaborate with the Development team to identify and transition prospective supporters for deeper engagement.
Donor Experiences
- Coordinate meaningful donor experiences including campus tours, appreciation events, mission experiences, and cultivation gatherings.
- Partner with Gift Officers and Development leadership to design experiences that strengthen donor relationships and introduce prospective supporters to EverHope's mission.
- Ensure every donor interaction reflects EverHope's mission, values, and commitment to exceptional stewardship.
In Kind Giving
- Lead the Development department's in kind giving program and process.
- Manage the organization's ongoing needs list in partnership with program and operational teams.
- Build relationships with individuals, businesses, and community groups to secure in kind donations.
- Determine when to pursue in kind donations versus purchasing needed items.
- Coordinate donor outreach, stewardship, documentation, and CRM records form all in kind gifts.

- Strong relationship building and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage diverse community audiences.
- Experience managing complex projects with multiple deadlines and stakeholders.
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and time management skills.
- Ability to build partnerships and create positive experiences for donors, sponsors,vendors, and community partners.
- Knowledge of CRM systems and fundraising software.
- Ability to analyze priorities and determine the most strategic use of organizational resources.
- Strong problem solving skills with the ability to adapt in fast paced environments.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, hospitality, marketing, communications, business, or a related field preferred.
- Two or more years of experience in event management, community engagement, fundraising, nonprofit development, or relationship management.
- Experience managing projects, events, or community partnerships.
- Proficiency with CRM systems, event software, and Google Workspace.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed for events and community engagement activities.
Working Conditions and Environment / Physical Demands
The demands described are representative of those that must be met by an individual to
successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
- Tasks may involve walking, standing, climbing, bending, kneeling, crouching, and lifting for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must pass all criminal history and child maltreatment background checks.
- Must submit to a pre employment drug screen as well as random drug screens when directed.
- Valid driver's license, proof of personal automobile insurance, and acceptable driving record required.
- Must maintain confidentiality regarding all EverHope client information in accordance with organizational policy and applicable federal and state regulations.
- Attend and participate in required meetings, trainings, and organizational events.
- Maintain appropriate professional boundaries.
- Complete required documentation in a timely manner.
Primary Outcome
Create meaningful experiences that connect people to EverHope's mission by executing
exceptional fundraising events, supporting community led fundraising efforts, cultivating
strategic community partnerships, coordinating impactful donor experiences, and
leading the organization's in kind giving program. Through these efforts, the Community
Engagement Manager expands awareness, deepens engagement, and builds a
growing pipeline of future supporters and philanthropic partners.
