Mark Thomas is hiring an IT Technician to join our team! The IT Technician is an integral part of the Information Technology team as this role will support hardware and software platforms performing tasks to include servicing help desk requests, laptop configurations, OS migrations, etc. This position provides IT regional support to our team and provides support organizationally – on projects and technology initiatives, as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provides IT Help Desk Support to end-users; identifies and resolves hardware and software application conflicts
• Ensures new hires are assigned the correct hardware and software to perform their jobs upon start; maintains standard workstation set-up for onsite locations
• Provides hardware and software support, including set-up, installations, troubleshooting, and upgrades
• Provides additional technical support services, such as teleconference and videoconference meetings; MS 365 support, printers/copiers; etc.
• Provides necessary desktop application support
• Provides necessary user training on network and desktop applications
• Protects organization's value by using good judgement and keeping information confidential
• Practices and promotes ethical computing
• Performs basic account management associated with access and permissions, such as Active Directory, email account access, etc.
• Collaborates and partners with IT team members in the resolution of IT issues enterprise-wide
• Travels as needed to provide IT support to onsite locations within the region
QUALIFICATIONS
• High School Diploma or equivalent required; MIS or CS degree preferred
• 1-3 years of desktop support/technology experience supporting end-user computer hardware and software in a networked organizational environment
• Strong fundamental troubleshooting skills and knowledge of networking protocols and connectivity troubleshooting
• Knowledge of IT and data security best practices
• Proficient knowledge of Windows 10 PC operating system
• Proficient knowledge of internet browsers, usage, and configuration
• Proficient knowledge and skill in Microsoft Office products and Office 365
• Ability to learn quickly and apply knowledge to new challenges
• Ability to work independently as well as a member of a team
• Experience with mobile device support to include iOS and Android devices
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills required
• Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with a variety of unique and diverse people and personalities
• Experience providing internal customer service preferred
• Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat, Bluebeam, and Surface pdf apps a plus
• Ability to travel regionally 25%
