What you'll do
- Ensure the highest quality of culinary services for our guests.
- Quickly, safely, and efficiently prepare food in accordance with our preparation and execution standards.
- Follow established portion control procedures to minimize food waste and maximize profitability.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment, countertops, and storage areas, to ensure a safe and sanitary work environment.
- Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels, rotating ingredients, receiving supplies, and notifying the chef or manager of any shortages or discrepancies.
- Collaborate with kitchen team members to maintain efficient workflow and communicate effectively to ensure timely preparation and service of meals.
- Maintain a high degree of standards in cleanliness and sanitation at all times.
- Follow all safety procedures.
- Execute opening and closing procedures.
- Remove trash, safely operate a trash compactor, and ensure cleanliness of the trash compactor area.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Cook in a high-volume environment.
- Strong knowledge of various cooking methods and techniques.
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to safely operate kitchen equipment.
- Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, and lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, crouch, kneel and reach for long periods of time.
- Must be able to lift, carry, push and pull up to 30 lbs.
- Must be able to lift and carry heavy trays and multiple plates from the kitchen to tables.
- Must be able to safely use a ladder.
