With our continued growth and expansion into the U.S. Market we're seeking an experienced Senior Manager, E-Commerce & Merchandising to join our team in Solana Beach, CA.


The Senior Manager E-Commerce & Merchandising will serve as one of the key leaders in the digital team developing and executing our digital commerce strategy with the objective of significant top line and bottom-line growth. You will have direct responsibility for all day-to-day operations and analytics. This role will be equally strategic and tactical.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy

  • Develop and implement ecommerce strategies for the Company’s JCP Brand to drive online sales and achieve revenue targets.
  • Responsible for bringing the merchandise assortment strategy to life in the digital channel.
  • Accountable for site experience, content, navigation, and performance.
  • Provide leadership and guidance in the development of concepts, strategies, planning, implementation, and coordination for digital business.
  • Builds and maintains productive partnerships with cross functional areas, internal stakeholders, external vendors and resources.
  • Understands site and consumer experience gaps to drive for capabilities & improvements to achieve business results.
  • Communicates to leadership overall business, strategies and results on a regular basis.
  • Work with account services team to monitor inventory and provide strategy input on traffic acquisition.
  • Ensure product launch timing and inventory levels are aligned with Google Ads efforts.


Consumer Journey Deliverables

  • Ensure the consumer experience is seamless throughout their journey by consistently reviewing and optimizing product experience, including product pages, category landing pages, cross-sells, search keywords, navigational elements, and product sequencing.
  • Responsible for identifying what the consumer wants, how they shop and navigate through the site, and what drives conversion.
  • Ensures consistency of digital store standards across all categories as it relates to concepts, ideas and layouts.
  • In collaboration with the Brand team will have site content management oversight, including responsibility for site messaging and standards for merchandising, creative, and navigation.
  • Work on initiatives to enhance the overall online shopping experience, such as creating curated collections, improving product recommendations, and bundling.


Monitoring, Analysis & Reporting Deliverables

  • Leverages data and insights to make data-driven changes and improvements in overall programs and monitors success over time.
  • Conducts frequent internal & external evaluations of the site to ensure the optimal consumer experience.
  • Review, create, update, and maintain product listings on our website, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and visual appeal.
  • Identify photo opportunities to switch and make suggestions on website to increase sales.
  • Keep all merchandise assortments organized and cohesive.
  • Communicate with cross-functional teams in collaboration with monthly content calendar, launches, promotions, overstock, and sales.
  • Research and monitor industry trends, competitor websites, and emerging e-commerce best practices to stay informed and provide insights for continual improvement.

Requirements and Qualifications

Experience, Knowledge & Education

  • Five (5) to eight (8) of hands-on B2C/D2C E-Commerce merchandising, including expertise in product categorization, search strategies, and product content management.
  • eCommerce Platform Expertise: familiarity with major E-Commerce platforms and content management systems (e.g., Shopify, Magento, Salesforce Commerce).
  • Experience with a Consumer-Packaged Goods company is highly desirable; juvenile or luxury goods preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Merchandising, Marketing, Management, Business Administration or other relevant areas.

  • Adapts easily to ambiguity, changing demands, and unpredictable circumstances typical of a start-up environment.
  • Reviews and optimizes the digital consumer journey, focusing on product pages, site navigation, and merchandising standards.
  • Possesses superior cultural competency, collaborating effectively with international counterparts to develop business strategies.
  • Builds and maintains trusting partnerships and relationships across internal departments and with external third-party business partners.
  • Remains poised under pressure and when facing opposition.
  • Demonstrates strong strategic capabilities and is comfortable with hands-on, tactical execution.
  • Analyzes data to optimize the customer experience and key performance indicators (KPIs), including conversion rate, average order value, and customer frequency.
  • Proactively researches industry trends, monitors competitors, and applies best practices to continuously improve the digital shopping experience.
  • Develops networks and builds alliances, collaborating across boundaries to establish strategic relationships and achieve common goals.
  • Persuades others and builds consensus through effective communication and cooperation to accomplish goals.
  • Exhibits exceptional listening and communication skills, adeptly tailoring messages and presenting complex analytical data and information to non-technical audiences in both verbal and written formats.


Other

  • This is an exempt, full-time in-office position at our Solana Beach, CA office.
  • California Pay Transparency Act: The range for this role is between $91,500 and $114,500. Target compensation range and subsequent actual salary is/will be determined by a number of factors including but not limited to specific skills, competencies, years of experience, geographic location and education as aligned to the job description.
  • Ability to work extended hours as business needs warrant. May on occasion include nights and/or weekends.
  • Travel (domestic) possible; as business needs warrant.

Salary : $91,500 - $114,500
