Johnstone Supply - The Comunale Group has an exciting opportunity with their Salisbury, MD and has a need for a Counter Sales Associate. This position is an hourly position with overtime and a bonus program.

Ideally, the Counter Sales Associate has knowledge and/or experience in the HVAC/R industry or a related industry with a mechanical aptitude and willingness to grow and learn. This person is energetic, engaging, knowledgeable, and dedicated to the family. The role of Counter Sales Associate contributes to branch sales growth and profitability by providing prompt, friendly and professional service to Johnstone customers in-person and over the phone.
Essential Job Functions
- Develop positive customer experiences to generate new and repeat business.
- Be knowledgeable and have the desire to continue learning industry products to provide product and technical information, recommend alternate products based on cost, availability, or specifications.
- Effectively engage customers in conversation to understand their needs and confidently offer reliable solutions.
- Work well in a team environment.
- Increase sales by cross-selling and offering promotional sale items.
- Prepare and issue sales quotes.
- Assists with system or product troubleshooting and answering technical questions.
- Enter sales transactions in point-of-sale system.
- Assists in receiving, shipping and general warehouse duties.
Job Requirements
- 2 or more years of experience in the HVAC/R industry or experience in a related field with a mechanical mindset is a plus
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
- A customer service-oriented personality
- Proficiency with computers and different software required as well as knowledge of navigating the internet to research products.
