What You'll Do
- Lead sourcing initiatives across a diverse vendor base to meet goals for quality, cost, and delivery.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with global suppliers and factories.
- Ensure compliance with Genesco policies, legal standards, and CSR requirements.
- Support costing and production teams with market insights and technical expertise.
- Oversee production cycles, shipping schedules, and component flow to meet delivery timelines.
- Manage factory audits, quality control, and third-party supervision teams.
- Represent J&M on Genesco’s ESG panel, helping shape sustainability policies.
- Continuously evaluate and improve sourcing processes and vendor performance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field.
- 7–10 years of global sourcing/manufacturing experience, ideally in footwear.
- Strong knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and international markets.
- Proven ability to lead in multicultural environments and manage complex projects.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Willingness to travel (~25%) to maintain strong vendor relationships.
