About the Role:
The Law Firm Administrator is responsible for overseeing non-attorney staff, managing administrative functions and supporting and strategizing with the firm’s leadership in achieving operational and firm goals. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, exceptional organizational abilities, creativity and a hands-on, team-first mentality to ensure the continued efficiency and excellence of our legal practice, while helping to drive firm growth forward.
Key Responsibilities:
-Lead and supervise administrative and support staff; train, coach and evaluate team members.
-Oversee day-to-day office operations, facilities, equipment, financial and information systems.
-Manage hiring, onboarding and personnel decisions for non-attorney roles.
-Partner with firm leadership in strategy, long-term planning and organizational development.
-Administer firm-wide HR policies, benefits coordination and performance reviews.
-Evaluate, improve and develop internal and case handling policies and procedures.
-Coordinate budgeting processes and collaborate with marketing on strategic initiatives.
-Manage accounting and financial functions, including A/R and A/P reporting in coordination with external bookkeeper and accountants.
-Mange vendor relationships.
-Facilitate communication between legal, management and support teams.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Finance or related field, or 5 years of equivalent legal administrator experience.
-Minimum 5 years in a senior administrative/leadership role, ideally within a law firm.
-Advanced knowledge of law firm office operations, HR policies and law firm accounting procedures.
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and law firm practice management systems.
-Excellent communication, problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
-Strong sense of confidentiality, professionalism and attention to detail.
