Job description: The Accounts Payable position contributes to Johnston Companies’ overall mission by handling vendor invoices and verifying invoices against purchase orders and to ensure the goods or services were received before issuing payment. This role is 100% on-site and does not have a remote work option.
Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable position has the following responsibilities and duties:
- Process customer credits and vendor credits applied to customer accounts
- Handle branch inquiries regarding customers, accounts payable, order entry, inventory, returns, credits, etc.
- Indexes Accounts Payable invoices
- Verifies receipt of inventory purchased by credit card
- Assists with monthly bank reconciliation
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Accounts Payable position should have the following skills, education and experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-3 years of experience in a related field is preferred.
- Proficient computer skills with an emphasis on Microsoft Office and Excel.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work without supervision and ask for help when needed.
- CSD experience is preferred but not required.
