Description
The Johnston County Visitors Bureau has an immediate opening for a full-time Digital Production Specialist position.
Johnston County Visitors Bureau is seeking a strong storyteller with comprehensive conceptual skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to function independently with minimal oversight.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan, film, and edit video projects to support Bureau marketing themes and initiatives across multiple platforms.
- Capture and manage high-quality, photography, video and audio assets for events, interviews, promotional campaigns, social media, and internal communications.
- Capture and manage audio fi les relevant to Bureau projects, to include music, voice overs, and interviews for podcast production.
- Collaborate in the development of scripts, storyboards, and detailed execution plans, including project schedules, technical requirements, and talent coordination, according to branding and bureau marketing standards.
- Operate and maintain video production equipment and gear, including cameras, lighting, microphones, and other audio equipment, and editing software.
- Edit video content using professional editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve), ensuring consistency in tone, pacing, and quality.
- Incorporate graphics, music, voice overs, and captions to enhance video presentations and ensure accessibility compliance.
- Manage the full audio/video production process, from concept to final delivery, including scheduling, shooting, editing, and distribution for short-form video and podcasting.
- Collaborate with digital marketing manager to create, edit, update, and manage media and content on the Bureau's website.
- Create optimized graphics for the website and print materials.
- Maintains a well-informed working knowledge of Johnston County and our tourism assets (all hotels, museums, attractions, etc.)
- Remains updated on state-level destination marketing eff orts to incorporate into the Bureau's multimedia marketing strategies as appropriate.
- All other duties as assigned by the Creative Director
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Three to five years of related work experience in social multimedia production and/or as a digital storyteller.
- Must have proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite environment.
- Must have proficiency in video and audio editing software (i.e. Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Audition, Final Cut Pro, Davinci Resolve etc.)
- Lightroom catalog, photo metadata, or digital asset management experience is a plus.
- Fundamental knowledge of web design, web development, and email marketing preferred.
- Experience with Simpleview CRM and CMS preferred.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills, with an ability to interact professionally with Bureau staff and industry partners at all levels.
- Ability to effectively present information to management and to work cooperatively in a team setting.
Other Requirements
- Flexibility to work necessary hours, including evenings, weekends & holidays.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and carry audio/visual equipment (up to 50 pounds).
- Ability to speak before groups of people with poise, voice control and confidence.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
Desired Education and Experience
Applicants must submit a portfolio showcasing three or more years of multimedia production experience.

Salary : $38,000 - $60,000
