JCI is a non-profit organization seeking an entry level janitor for our location in Selma, NC. This is an entry level position.
Must be able to:
- Sweep
- Mop
- Dust
- Empty trash
- Good attendance
- Lift up to 25lbs
Position Summary: Performs maintenance duties such as sweeping, picking up trash and other assigned duties to maintain clean neat orderly work environment.
Essential Functions: Follows instructions regarding assigned duties (dusting, mopping, cleaning, sweeping, picking up/emptying trash, etc.). Follows safe working policies and procedures associated with hazards of working in a work environment. Maintains good attendance and follows procedure for reporting absences. Maintains a positive working relationship with coworkers and supervisors. Non-Essential Functions: Performs other work related duties as required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to follow instructions, meet established safety guidelines and work effectively with coworkers and supervisors.
Education & Experience:
Required: Age 18 or older. Good attendance. Preferred: Age 18 or older, good attendance and one year experience of work experience.
Occupational Demands: Must be able to complete tasks assigned, lift 25 lbs. regularly. Work can be performed inside or outside. Work assignments may vary.
