This position is responsible for provisioning, installation/configuration, operation and maintenance of IT systems and is responsible for the integrity of the data and the efficiency and performance of the systems. Duties are performed in accordance with Johnstech’s Management System.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify problems, review information to develop and evaluate options to recommend/implement corrective solutions.
  • Develop, update and maintain operational and configuration procedures.
  • Research, recommend and develop innovative and automated approaches for system administration tasks. Identify approaches that leverage resources and provide economies of scale.
  • Plan, coordinate and implement security measures in order to protect data and software.
  • Perform regular file archival and purge as necessary.
  • Perform data backup and disaster recovery operations.
  • Create, change, and delete user accounts upon request.
  • Perform periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning.
  • Create and deliver training to technical and nontechnical users.
  • Gather data pertaining to customer needs, and use the information to identify, predict, interpret and evaluate system requirements.
  • Participate in budgeting, planning & production forecasting with the IT Manager
  • Understands Management Policy statements and organizational/department objectives. Follows Management System procedures and work instructions. Identifies and reports problems, participates in fixing problems and assists in improving processes and products.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BS degree with a technical major such as engineering or computer science or equivalent experience.
  •  5 System administrator experience
  • Experience working with international locations highly preferred
  • Able to lead projects
  • Understanding of basic business systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Pay range for this position is $75K-95K. This salary information serves as a general guideline. Several factors are considered when making an offer for this position including but not limited to work experience, education, geographic location, certifications, key skills, market and business conditions. Johnstech can share more about the specific compensation package for your preferred role during the hiring process.
