We value teamwork, kindness, personal growth, and a high standard of clinical performance.About the role:The Orthodontic Assistant is a key member of our clinical team, responsible for providing all aspects of clinical patient care in a professional, efficient, and caring manner. The Orthodontic Assistant is performing a wide range of orthodontic procedures, as well as assisting the doctor during appointments, sterilization procedures, and occasional minor lab work. Must be willing to travel to all three locations: Silverdale, Poulsbo, and Port Orchard.Key Responsibilities:Prepare patients for treatment by welcoming, comforting, and seating them.Build positive relationships with patients, families, and coworkers.Enter detailed chart/record notations in the practice management system.Take x-rays, photos, impressions, and intraoral scans.Provide patient instruction/education.Provide reports to parents/guardians.Assist the Orthodontist with consultations and all stages of orthodontic procedures.Clean/disinfect operatories and sterilize instruments and devices.Set up trays and prepare brackets for bonding.Perform other tasks as assigned by the Doctor, Clinical Lead, and Practice Manager.Qualifications:Dental experience is required; Orthodontic experience is preferred.Washington State Registered Dental Assistant.Good understanding of relevant health and safety regulations.Proficiency with orthodontic/dental management software systems is preferred, but not required.Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to build strong relationships and rapport with patients, parents, doctors, fellow team members, and the community.Keen attention to detail and time management skills.What you will benefit from:A competitive hourly wage.Health coverage, employer contribution to a retirement plan, and uniform allowance.Monday to Friday, no evening or weekend work.Being part of a collaborative and engaging team that prioritizes employee development.Partnering with and learning from an experienced network of professionals.On-the-job training.Safe work environment.Lively atmosphere.How to Apply:Please submit your current resume along with three professional references.What to Expect:Applicants being considered for the position may be asked to take a pre-hire assessment as an objective tool to help assess and identify a final candidate.The final candidate will be provided a conditional job offer, conditioned upon the successful and satisfactory completion of a background check.
