The welder is responsible for welding, fabricating, and assembling metal components according to specifications and safety standards. This role requires attention to detail, strong technical ability, and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Shift
Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm but hours could vary
Essential Job Functions
- Must be able to weld steel.
- Selecting, measuring, cutting, and joining appropriate metals to specifications.
- Preparing metals and work surfaces to ensure safe and effective assemblage.
- Interpreting specifications and blueprints accurately.
- Regularly cleaning and inspecting welding equipment and tools.
- Operate forklift as required (Must be properly licensed in accordance with existing company policy).
- May be required by management to perform other reasonable work-related tasks.
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 1β2 years of MIG welding experience (or completion of an accredited welding program)
- Ability to read blueprints and understand welding symbols
- Strong understanding of welding safety and PPE requirements
- Proficiency using fabrication tools, measuring devices, and basic shop math
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
- Certification in welding is a plus, but not required
