18-Wheeler Tire Man / Commercial Tire Technician

Pay: 25% Commission OR $13–$20/hour, depending on experience
Johnson Tire Service is a family-owned and operated tire business looking for an experienced, dependable, and hardworking 18-Wheeler Tire Man to join the Johnson Tire family.
We are looking for someone who already has experience working with 18-wheeler and commercial truck tires and is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. This position includes working in the shop as well as performing roadside service calls.
Responsibilities include:
- Mounting and dismounting 18-wheeler and commercial truck tires
- Installing, changing, and repairing commercial tires
- Performing roadside tire service calls
- Traveling to customers and roadside locations as needed
- Checking tire pressure and overall tire condition
- Safely operating tire equipment, jacks, service trucks, and other necessary equipment
- Keeping the service truck, shop, and work areas clean and organized
- Helping customers and other team members as needed
- Following all shop and safety procedures
Requirements:
- Previous tire shop/tire technician experience is required
- Experience working with 18-wheeler/commercial tires is required
- Valid driver’s license is required
- Must be able to perform roadside service calls
- Must be willing to work various hours depending on service-call needs
- Must be available for after-hours service calls when scheduled to be on call
- Must be dependable and show up to work on time
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to lift and handle heavy tires and perform physical work throughout the day
- Must be comfortable working outdoors and alongside the road in different weather conditions
- Must work well independently and as part of a team
- Must take pride in doing the job correctly and safely
Pay:
- 25% commission OR $13–$20 per hour, depending on experience, knowledge, and ability
