Basic Function

Perform all WaterJet, Shearer, Threader, Bandsaw, Plasma operations in order to produce high volume parts in a cost-effective manner including preventative maintenance. 

 Duties & Responsibilities

• Program and operate waterjet cutting machine. 
• Handle both parts and materials.
• Operate an overhead crane & forklift.
• Perform preventative maintenance & calibration on equipment. 
• Maintain proper paperwork and documentation.
• Actively participates in continuous improvement efforts
• Train others to operate the water jet cutter.
• Maintain an organized work area.
• Maintain acceptable reject, scrap and production rates. 
• Inspect completed parts. 
• Operator other Screen Prep Machinery such as Plasma, Stone Cutter, etc. when not otherwise occupied with waterjet. 
• Understand and comply with all HSE, Compliance and other Company Policies.
• Must know Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality System Manual, Operating and technical procedures and work instructions as it applies to the position. 
• Perform various other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager within the physical constraints of the position.

Required Skills

• 2 yrs. experience CNC waterjet operating, familiar with G & M codes. 
• CAD experience, preferred.
• Two year technical degree in CNC Waterjet or equivalent or completed apprenticeship program.
• Comfortable with computers
• Strong Mechanical Aptitude.
• Ability to use measuring equipment such as calipers, gauges, micrometers, etc.
• Ability to work independently or with others. 
• Detail orientated and a desire for quality
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to work overtime with little to no warning. 
• Ability to change project midway, flexible.
• Have good communication skills.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions
• Ability to interpret routers and bills of materials
• Ability to use hand tools
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks as required
