Job Overview
We are seeking an Emergency Vehicle Service Technician to join our team. The Service Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and up-fitting fire trucks and other emergency vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Perform both mobile and in house preventative maintenance
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues
- Design and build custom solutions based on customer needs
- Perform both mobile and in house fire pump testing
- Maintain accurate records of service calls and repairs
- Work at an efficient pace
- Fabrication
- Mounting
- Metal Braking and cutting
- Welding (mostly aluminum)
- Electrical wiring and troubleshooting
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a prior mechanical field
- Willing to travel
- Familiarity with fire pumps and systems is a plus
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members.
- Fire Service experience is a plus
- EVT Certifications are preferred
While this position is for an on site mechanic, mobile mechanics may also be considered.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $40.00 per hour
