Duties
- Inspect pool equipment, filters, pumps, and plumbing systems to identify issues or potential failures
- Perform repairs on pool pumps, heaters, chlorinators, and other mechanical components using hand tools and power tools
- Conduct routine pool maintenance, including cleaning filters, checking chemical levels, and balancing water chemistry
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems efficiently to minimize downtime
- Replace or repair damaged parts such as valves, motors, or piping to restore optimal operation
- Maintain detailed records of service work performed and parts used for each job
- Assist with seasonal pool opening and closing procedures to ensure proper preparation for peak usage periods
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose and repair complex equipment issues
- Experience operating hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Knowledge of pool maintenance procedures, including cleaning, chemical balancing, and system inspections
- Skilled in using various equipment repair techniques with attention to detail
- Prior service technician experience preferred, especially in pool or HVAC systems
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction
