What are the responsibilities and job description for the FABRICATOR | OEM position at Johnson Metal Works?
About Us:
Johnson Metal Works is a rapidly growing Bozeman-based metal fabrication company specializing in OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer), Architectural and Structural projects. We are known for our excellence in handling repetitive large contract manufacturing projects. We are currently seeking experienced and dedicated full-time welders/fabricators to join our team and contribute to our dynamic and high-demand projects.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a metal shop setting.
- Proficiency in MIG welding (experience in dual-shield, metal core, push-pull aluminum, or a spool gun is a big plus).
- TIG welding experience.
- Ability to read, understand, and interpret fabrication documents, plans, and drawings.
- Finishing experience, including grinding away a weld and finish sanding to make the weld disappear.
- Basic machine shop knowledge and experience.
- Familiarity with general shop tools and equipment, including bandsaw, drill press, plasma torch, ironworker, and forklift.
- Demonstrated positive attitude and commitment to craftsmanship and quality.
- Willingness to learn and take direction.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong commitment to site safety, cleanliness, professionalism, and punctuality.
- Successful completion of an in-house welding test as part of the interviewing process.
- Welding certifications are a plus, but not required.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
