About The Role
As an Associate Account Manager, you’ll play an essential role supporting our Commercial Lines team. This position is a great opportunity for someone early in their insurance career who wants hands-on experience, exposure to client relationships, and a clear path for growth.
You’ll work closely with Account Managers and Producers to support policy servicing, documentation, and communication—developing a strong foundation in commercial insurance while contributing to a collaborative, people-first team.
What You’ll Do
- Support Account Managers and Producers with day-to-day servicing of commercial insurance accounts
- Prepare and process proposals, policies, endorsements, audits, certificates, and auto ID cards
- Communicate with clients in a timely, professional, and supportive manner regarding policy details and documentation
- Perform policy checks and create audit spreadsheets to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Assist with marketing client accounts to insurance carriers and gathering quotes
- Complete billing templates and coordinate with Accounting to ensure timely processing
- Document all client interactions and updates in our agency management system (Applied EPIC)
- Follow JKJ service timelines, templates, and quality standards for new business and renewals
- Associate’s degree in business, finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Interest in commercial insurance and risk management (prior coursework or experience is a plus)
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Comfort working independently while collaborating with a team
- Proficiency with common office software (email, word processing, spreadsheets)
- Willingness to obtain a Property & Casualty license within one year (if not already licensed)
- Motivation to pursue a professional designation (AINS, APRI, or CISR) within 24 months
