Summary:
Provides leadership and supervision to the team of technicians operating the manufacturing equipment. Performs a variety of engineering functions of intermediate scope involving the troubleshooting of equipment, processes or facilities related to the manufacturing lines. Works closely with other engineering fields in the application of solving problems equipment and processes. Supervises the alignment to safety, environmental, quality and regulatory policies & procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides training, coaching and supervision to technicians in order to operate, solve and maintain equipment.
- Identifies, plans, executes and facilitates improvements to the quality & throughput of the manufacturing lines under moderate supervision. Coordinates teams of technicians as necessary for completion of projects.
- Supervises the alignment to safety, environmental, quality and regulatory policies & procedures.
- Identifies and revises safety, regulatory, equipment and process training documentation.
- Develops and implements equipment and/or throughput enhancements that will improve efficiency, product yield and safety.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Education:
- A minimum of a Bachelors’ Degree is required, preferably in an Engineering or Technical Field.
Experience and Skills:
Required:
- A minimum of six (6) years of experience in manufacturing or engineering operations, and or project management
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Experience in calibration duties with respect to industrial instrumentation (pressure, temperature, flow, O2, proximity, stress/strain, etc)
- Excellent organizational skills
Preferred:
- A minimum of five (5) years of supervision experience of a technical workforce or recent college graduate with a master’s degree
- Under general supervision, works within established guidelines and has flexibility as to method, priority and timing of job duties.
- Six Sigma and/or LEAN experience
- Green Belt, Black Belt, FPX, JJPS Certifications
Other:
- Must be willing and able to meet the conditions & physical demands of the job including: stooping, crouching, walking, pulling, light lifting (Up to 25 lbs.), grasping, hearing, visual acuity, reaching, pushing, talking, standing, fingering, inside environmental conditions.
- Must be willing and able to regularly work either the night shift (6pm – 6am) or on a continuous operations schedule in addition to every other weekend
- May require up to 5% of domestic travel

Salary : $102,000 - $130,000
