We are searching for the best talent for Operations Manager to be in Grecia, Costa Rica.
Purpose:
The position of Operations Manager plays a crucial role in developing and executing a comprehensive plan to ensure a smooth transition from project construction or development phases to full operational status, including overseeing the implementation of necessary systems, processes, training, and documentation to guarantee efficient and compliant operations once launched. This role requires a highly committed individual who can learn quickly, demonstrate strong leadership qualities, and exhibit flexibility to adapt to changing operational needs. The successful candidate will collaborate with various teams to identify and mitigate risks, monitor progress, and ensure all operational readiness objectives are met across the organization.
You will be responsible for:
Creating a detailed plan outlining all aspects of operational readiness, including timelines, milestones, deliverables, training requirements and risk mitigation strategies aligned with project goals.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams like engineering, construction, maintenance, and operations to ensure all stakeholders are informed and actively involved in the operational readiness process.
Oversee the implementation and testing of manufacturing systems, procedures and documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), maintenance protocols and quality control measures.
Drive implementation activities of end-to-end operations from inbound to outbound activities.
Lead the development and delivery of comprehensive training program for operational personnel to ensure they are fully equipped to handle new systems and processes.
Facilitate change management activities to ensure a smooth transition for employees and minimize disruption during the operational handover.
Implement systems and procedures to enhance operational performance, ensuring that equipment meets required utilization standards.
Foster relationships and unify criteria across departments to streamline operations and improve product responses to customer needs.
Encourage a culture of continuous improvement and environmental, safety, and health compliance.
Qualifications / Requirements:
Academic degree in Business Administration, Pharmacology, Engineering, or related fields; a master’s degree is preferred.
4 to 6 years of relevant experience in Operations, Manufacturing, or a related field, preferably within the medical products or pharmaceutical industry; at least 3 to 5 years in a managerial capacity.
Experience in leadership roles and a deep understanding of supply chain management.
Knowledge of warehouse logistics, engineering and manufacturing operations.
Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Strong in-depth knowledge of tech transfer and start-up activities, quality assurance requirements, GMP, and safety compliance.
Proven financial analysis, budgeting, and cost management skills.
Exceptional leadership and motivational skills with a commitment to operational excellence.
Ability to learn rapidly and adapt to new challenges.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of presenting complex information effectively to diverse audiences.
Problem-solving and analytical abilities, with experience in conflict resolution and negotiation.
Knowledge of quality control standards and regulations, including compliance with ISO and QSR.
Knowledge of ERP systems, automation tools, and industry-specific software.
