ROLE PURPOSE

This is a high-visibility role at the intersection of surgical innovation, commercial transformation, and digital enablement. You will help shape the innovation agenda and scale outcomes-based selling, digitally enabled tools, and customer-facing digital solutions globally—directly influencing field behavior, customer engagement, and the future of MedTech Surgery.

This role will report directly to the Senior Manager, Digital Innovation & Digital Enablement

Position Summary

The Manager, Surgical Outcomes & Digital Innovation/Enablement drives outcomes-based commercial execution and digital enablement across regions, translating strategy into scalable field adoption and customer impact.

This role leads downstream execution of the Surgical Outcomes strategy, including playbook dissemination, regional activation, and education efforts that embed DISH and outcomes-first thinking into commercial practice.

In parallel, the role advances digital innovation and enablement by supporting customer pilots, generating strategic insights, defining success metrics, and prioritizing digital tools that improve adoption, execution, and engagement across the business.

Key Responsibilities

Surgical Outcomes Strategy – Downstream Execution

  • Lead downstream execution of the Surgical Outcomes strategy, translating global direction into practical, repeatable activation across regions.
  • Own Surgical Outcomes playbook dissemination, ensuring consistent understanding, messaging, and application across commercial, education, and regional teams.
  • Drive regional activation and engagement, supporting markets in embedding outcomes-first behaviors into customer interactions, education, and planning.
  • Lead DISH education, training, and dissemination, enabling consistent clinical language, usage, and adoption across events, field teams, and key accounts.
  • Own Surgical Outcomes event strategy across global, regional, and local levels, aligning content, objectives, and execution to outcomes-driven behavior change (vs. product-first engagement).
  • Serve as a connector across regions by facilitating regional insights sharing, surfacing best practices, barriers, and opportunities related to both Surgical Outcomes and digital enablement.

Digital Innovation & Enablement

  • Lead digital innovation initiatives with strategic customers, including pilot execution, voice-of-customer insight generation, and cross-functional project management.
  • Define pilot success metrics and measurement frameworks to evaluate impact, scalability, and business value.
  • Define and execute the digital enablement strategy that supports commercial efforts across sales, education, and customer engagement.
  • Own alignment and usage strategy for current digital tools, including: NxTAdvisor; SmartWinnr; AI Advisor
  • Identify unmet needs and prioritization opportunities across regions and roles, informing roadmap decisions and optimization of existing tools.
  • Drive measurable adoption and behavior change, partnering with commercial, FSO, and regional teams to track usage, impact, and effectiveness.
  • Translate digital usage and regional feedback into actionable recommendations to improve enablement, content, and execution.

CrossFunctional & Regional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Commercial, Professional Education, Medical Affairs, HEMA, IT, and Regional Marketing to ensure Surgical Outcomes and digital tools are deployed in a coordinated, compliant, and scalable manner.
  • Support change management by reinforcing outcomes-first behaviors, aligning incentives, education, and enablement to desired field actions.
  • Act as a bridge between global strategy and regional execution, ensuring feedback flows upstream and guidance flows downstream.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, engineering, or related; MBA preferred
  • Minimum 6 years relevant experience, with 3-4 years in commercial, digital, or strategic roles within MedTech/Healthcare
  • Experience working across global or highly matrixed organizations
  • Ability to travel approximately 30-40% (international and domestic)

Preferred

  • Experience with digital strategy/innovation, health tech or medtech; proven delivery in digital transformation and omnichannel commercialization
  • Project management experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives
  • Fluency in emerging tech (AI/ML, analytics, automation), change management, and cross‑functional leadership
