DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a Field Continuous Improvement located in Raynham, Massachusetts, Raritan, New Jersey, West Chester, Pennsylvania, or Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopedics business to establish a standalone orthopedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. Should you accept this position, it is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, you would be an employee of DePuy Synthes and your employment would be governed by DePuy Synthes employment processes, programs, policies, and benefit plans. In that case, details of any planned changes would be provided to you by DePuy Synthes at an appropriate time and subject to any necessary consultation processes.

Additional Description For Pay Transparency
Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).

Vacation –120 hours per calendar year

Key Responsibilities
- Identify, lead, and implement continuous improvement initiatives across field operations to improve efficiency, quality, and service outcomes.
- Apply structured problem‑solving and continuous improvement methodologies to address performance gaps and operational challenges.
- Partner with field leadership and cross‑functional teams to deploy standard work, best practices, and process improvements.
- Analyze performance data, metrics, and trends to identify opportunities for improvement and measure impact.
- Support change management efforts by engaging stakeholders, communicating progress, and reinforcing adoption of new processes.
- Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and kaizen events to build continuous improvement capability in the field.
- Document processes, improvements, and lessons learned to support knowledge sharing and sustainability.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree required in Business, Engineering, Operations, or a related field
- Master’s degree preferred
Experience and Skills
- Typically requires 5–8 years of experience in continuous improvement, operations, or process improvement roles
- Experience applying Lean, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement methodologies
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
- Proven ability to work cross‑functionally and influence without direct authority
- Strong communication and facilitation skills, including experience leading workshops or improvement initiatives
- Ability to travel regularly to support field‑based teams
- Experience supporting field, commercial, or customer‑facing operations
- Background in medical devices, healthcare, or other regulated industries
- Experience with change management and process standardization
- Familiarity with performance metrics, dashboards, and continuous improvement tools
- Lean Six Sigma certification or similar credential
- Language: English required
- Travel: Up to 40% domestic travel
- Certifications: Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement certifications preferred
